OUR HERITAGE FARM IN SOUTH TYROL
Mesnerhof has been our family’s home, livelihood and pride for over 200 years. We are also proud to offer guests an authentic insight into South Tyrolean traditions and farm life.
AS TRADITION OBLIGES
In German, “Erbhof” means “heritage farm”. This designation is awarded by the Autonomous Province of South Tyrol to farms that have been run by the same family for at least 200 years. To receive this designation, the farm must be inhabited and managed by its owners themselves.
OUR FARM ANIMALS
What does a cow like to eat most? How are mother cows kept? During visits to the barn in our small petting zoo, both young and old get to know our animals and everyday farm life up close. Perhaps our dog Snow, a gentle Siberian Husky, will join you on your explorations and shared hikes.
THE PERFECT PLACE TO PLAY
For children, our farm is a bit like a huge playground… there’s so much to discover! The play area in the garden in equipped with a swing and a sand pit where our younger guests can romp around and play to their heart’s content.
OUR RECREATION LOUNGE
If you have caught a rare rainy day, or would like to get to know the other guests, our recreation lounge is just the place. It has a library, TV set and board games to help you while away pleasant hours, or why not share a good meal or drink in a convivial atmosphere?
PARSLEY, SAGE, ROSEMARY AND… MMM!
The wonderful scent that greets you when you step out of your apartment is from our herb garden. Chives, rosemary, parsley… these are the fresh herbs that make Granny Marlene’s dishes so delectable. You can find out (and taste) more during our Tyrolean themed dinner!
